ConnΣΧions
Friendship is the first and highest aim of Sigma Chi, and we take that to heart. With strong diversity of temperament and thought within our chapter, we pride ourselves on the unbreakable bond of brotherhood that unites us. In addition to close relationships among active brothers, we cultivate connections with our strong alumni base as well; for the Alpha Kappa Chapter, that alumni base extends from Hillsdale College professors to the justices on the Michigan Supreme Court.

Philanthropy/Service
An integral part of creating a community is done by helping the community. That's why Sigma Chi pushes it's members to serve its community through volunteer work, which for us often involves chapter volunteering days in our local community, such as our semesterly Greater Hillsdale Humane Society cleanup. The Alpha Kappa chapter also fundraises on behalf of the Huntsman Cancer Research Institute by holding various events, such as our annual Derby Days competition.

Scholarship
While we love to have a good time as undergraduate students, we also recognize that we're at Hillsdale College primarily to learn. Sigma Chi has strict standards for academic performance so that brothers must keep each other accountable. Group study sessions help foster an encouraging academic community, while scholarships offered by Sigma Chi reward academic excellence. In addition, our Scholarship Chair offers academic guidance and accountability to active brothers.
